I feel I have had a bit of an art block lately, I mean I have been really busy with commissions and havent been able to draw my own thing yet when I have had time I just have not found the inspiration
But finally after some great inspiration from a cutout from some magazine I bought probably two years ago I was able to create something I dont take full credit for the base of this idea, the girls face with the jelly snake lollies hair and face features was from a photo from the magazine- I drew from It was such a spoofy idea that I just had to draw it and sadly with only the cut out of the photograph from the magazine I dont know -what magazine or what the photographer was called or what- So I apologise!! Really I do if anyone out there is shitty I cant credit for that idea -it cant be helped-
When I started this I loved how the face and jelly snakes came out Im so proud of my shading, it look very real and alike the photographed jelly snakes but then I started to have a block and really died on ideas I started fiddling around with this background grungy look and ripping bits out of a newspaper Then one thing led to another
I do not really like this an awful lot, it lets me down for several reasons and it may be hard for your guys to see whats exactly happening
This image was heavily created to nine inch nails- one of my fav bands as most- and listening to the lyrics on the album fragile- along to the soothing musical business the image came to be as it is The girl reminds me of a young medusa, like medusas daughter or perhaps medusa when she was young she has power and strength although a inner sadness ..a longing, for she can not look at anyone without turning them into stone, *as medusas power goes* and everyone fears her powers, so no one looks at her beauty to see what she is really about. She rebels, scratching ink into her skin, showing her pain on the outside and perhaps taking drugs to ease her pain? the syringe butterflies-
Its like her drugged up world beauty falling from grace The skies are full of dark clouds and ravens screaming
I think she is looking for someone.
I used Faber castel watercolour pencils and dirty paint brush water add some black ink I do think its funny, my images lately have been very in love And that simply is because I am very in love
But thats what you get my art reflects me, and my moods. enjoy xoxo
I really love your description of her because it's perfect.
You always give yourself a hard time when it comes to your finished pieces, which is understandable because every artist seems to find some type of flaw, one after another. But this is beautiful, really. The colors are so soothing, and the whole concept of it is what makes it beautiful.
Her face is so smooth and pretty. You go into such detail, I like the syringes

there was an unknown land, full of strange flowers and subtle perfumes; a land of which it is joy of all joys to dream; a land where all things are perfect and poisonous.
This time the girl looks more realistic. I know you drew her from a magazine. It's very well done.
And we all love the jelly snakes That's an original idea!
But most of all, I love her eyes. They are so beautiful!
Keep up your good work and don't worry if you don't find inspiration now. It will come back.
I know you are very talented. Your talent will never let you down!
