Backstabbers
Backstabbee………
Nameless and faceless they come out of the shadows,
Stab you to death when you’re not knowing.
To your face they are friends but from behind something crueller than an enemy
Monsters of their own lives… nothing satisfies.
Sticks and stones may break bones but the words they say destroy us.
Someone you trusted or never knew could be doing this to you.
I have had a lot of silly drama go on with my friends, strangers and myself of late but the whole concept of this kind of human behaviour is so fascinating that I felt compelled to draw a piece inspired by it
For myself im just over the petty –high school games- and I don’t let it get to me
as you get older things seem to matter less… and –real- stuff matters more.
… I find the whole backstabbing thing to be really petty and weak… not many people have the confidence to say anything to your face… but everyone loves to tell people how it is when your back is turned.
It’s easier to remain faceless and nameless while you smack away into someone’s back with a jiggered aggressive blade… easier and safer than stirring up the drama that would come your way if you were straight, not that they have the spine for it.
I picture people who sit alone saying nasty things about others all day everyday, look at themselves on a high priestess chair… like royalty being the one in control of their own lives – an illusion though it may be- as they bicker and snitch about every single person around them, they never have anything nice to say.
I guess it makes people feel better when they act this way… makes their own lives seem less petty and in less disarray.
But when you find out what’s being said… the truth can be a crushing claw or a mark to branch out and leave rotten fruit to lay.
Sometimes its nice to find peoples true colours… then you can be rid of them and continue your life without the hassles, without the drama and without the doom and gloom that some people bring day after day… the kind of people that in reality hate themselves and simply say nasty things about everyone else to compensate.

In terms of vision, it's extremely creative; the outfits are just wonderful, I'm truly in awe of the way you come up with gorgeous clothing (or lack thereof) in every non-nude piece you do. Five stars in originality because I have never seen the concept of a "backstabber" depicted in this way. I don't think I even need to go into your technique, your coloring is just perfect in my opinion, as is the way you stylize and distort all of the right things to get that immediately-recognizable style of yours. For impact, I really wish I could give this more than five stars, because it impacted me so much. Being a petty high schooler, I've seen a lot of silly backstabbing drama lately, so this evokes a lot of emotion for me, and the fact that you can do that shows just what a wonderful artist you are. Okay, I'll stop it with the senseless praise now...After I tell you that the way you draw lace is just awesome -- That is some amazing lace. NOW I'm done. <3
