I drew this out of quiet personal feelings I shared a while back…
At first I was not really pleased with this because I felt it didn’t represent how I felt in the right way… Now that I have finished it I have to say I like what is of it… It does express the things I needed it too… I chose to write little notes around the girls figure to indicate certain –feelings-… I have wanted to do wilting roses coming from inside a girl before because it’s always what I think of when hear the term –something died inside- I’m not sure I like how I drew it out but I am thinking of using that idea for a few other projects to come… I really enjoy the orange sparrow below with arrows though it… Its suppose to look strange with only one sparrow –normally they come in twos- it is alone and solo… feeling shot down –I guess- The puddle of blood is meant to look rough and thick-ish… The light bulb added to give it that –tegan coddington- feel as I have used in other works such as this – [link] The girl is skinny and bony because she was meant to have an appealing look towards her **it all mingles in with the hidden meaning… *I thought you would have been there for me, Came through for me… but you failed me* I chose to make the girl have a younger appearance to her face because I think I wanted to represent innocence in this character… She has no dirty secrets… With trust and knowledge she still fights for what’s hers … She stands there like invisible … she cant believe her eyes, the pain that sinks in knowing he did not think of her stains her thighs in stinging ... And tears She was left to defend herself…. Her property her dignity… She feels threatened and ugly …under attack… Ripped bear from anything she can control… The hate burns for her property but she wants him badly… Its not heart break as such… as it burns and tangles in her gut… Something dies inside the day he failed her. The day he let me down…  Up above is very badly written! I don’t write poetry …I just like to try write down words without giving too much away… Anyway I loved how I bombarded this with grunge!! I hope to try bringing back a lot of my older style into my newer artwork  This subject and the image are still very touchy to me… It hurts a little thinking about it… Xoxoxo hope you enjoy Watercolor pencils and ink. The hips and the legs are stunning- I don't know why but I just can't take my eyes off those hips (I aint no pervert!
I'm a little sad, because I only just started drawing a chick with a rose instead of a heart last night, and now I feel goofy.
The lightbulb looks perfect! The glowyness around it is so well done. And it feels good to see some grunge coming from you again. I was flicking through your earlier pieces the other day, and I seem to have a new found appreciation for your grunge images. They have character that I overlooked when I first came across you.
